When Angelina Tells Anthony He’s Blessed to Have Shayla as His Girl
There are moments in life when we need a gentle reminder of the blessings we often take for granted. For Anthony, that moment came when Angelina, his longtime friend, looked him in the eye and told him, “You’re truly blessed to have Shayla as your girl.”

Shayla wasn’t just his girlfriend; she was his rock. And yet, he had never truly stopped to acknowledge how much she meant to him.
“She believes in you even when you don’t believe in yourself,” Angelina continued. “She defends you when you’re not around. She prays for you. That’s rare, Anthony. Don’t ever take that for granted.”
Her words hit him like a wave. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate Shayla—he did. But hearing someone else recognize her worth, hearing it spoken out loud, made him realize just how special she was.
A slow smile formed on his lips as he nodded. “You’re right,” he admitted. “I am blessed.”
That night, Anthony went home and looked at Shayla with fresh eyes. He held her a little tighter, told her he loved her a little more intentionally, and silently promised himself never to let her feel unappreciated.
Sometimes, it takes an outside voice to make us see what’s been in front of us all along. And thanks to Angelina, Anthony would never again forget just how lucky he was to have Shayla by his side.
