Accountability Ant tell Shayla that you were over at Wayne’s asking for advice how to get Amber back
Anthony tell Shayla that you were over at Wayne’s asking for advice how to get Amber back
Anthony: I told you, I told you, see, I know, but you wanted to go to Target and I told you—what did I tell you?
Shayla: I told you, no, we can get a better deal at Costco.
Anthony: Oh, God, since when do you care about a better deal lately?
Shayla: I always care about a deal. That's business.
Shayla (to child): Don't pull mommy's hair, please.
Anthony: You—what is it with women and not taking accountability? I swear.
Shayla: What are you talking about?
Anthony: You can't just say, "Honey, you knew," right?
Shayla: I appreciate you trying to save money.
Shayla (to child): Oh, that’s mommy’s hair.
Anthony: That’s what I got here. So what is it with women who can't just take accountability?
Shayla: What are you talking about, babe? I wanted to get those diapers at Target because they're more comfortable for him.
Anthony: It's not just about price. He don't care about price. He got it.
I looked at the material. It's the same material that was on those diapers at Target.
Shayla: Allegedly. But I’ve tried these before and I swear they’re not the same. But this is what you wanted to do.
Anthony: So you can't just admit that I was right. Just admit I was right.
Shayla: There's no harm in admitting that you're right… or that we have different opinions.
I feel like I’m more of a diaper expert than you are.
Anthony: You're more of a diaper expert, right? Wow. Women don't take accountability in any way.
Shayla: Have you been listening to this podcast?
Anthony: It's more than just a podcast.
Shayla: What are you talking about, “women don't take accountability”?
Anthony: I listened to you. I didn't bite you on it. I said, "Okay, if you want to go to Costco, you can."
But you want to be right.
Shayla: Because I am right.
Anthony: I was right.
Shayla: Okay. Fine.
Anthony: So you think you're more of a diaper expert than I am.
Shayla: I'm not saying that.
Anthony: You feel like you know more about motherhood, diapers, babies than me.
Shayla: I never claimed to be that. I'm just saying that—
Anthony: Okay.
Without revisiting the past… let’s take Amber, for example. She takes no accountability in us breaking up. Our divorce.
Shayla: You know what I'm saying?
Anthony: Like, let's not forget. She slept with Wayne.
Shayla: And I know—you keep bringing it up.
Anthony: You keep bringing it up. She slept with Wayne. All the way up until the day I said, “I do.”
So she goes and does—God knows what—with that man. Right? And then he goes to the altar and kisses me in the mouth.
Shayla: That's crazy.
Anthony: That’s crazy. But yet she takes no accountability. I'm the bad guy.
Maybe we wouldn't even have gotten married. If I'd known that—to this day—if I'd known what she did, we wouldn't have gotten married.
Shayla: Okay. I mean, that’s fair. I see what you mean.
I mean, I guess it's just the shock of like a double betrayal. Her best friend and her husband.
But you're right. She isn’t taking accountability for being the first person to be unfaithful in your relationship.
Anthony: Yes. Absolutely.
Shayla: All right.
Anthony: It's just like—I mean…
Shayla: What?
Anthony: You and Arby. Right? Do you take accountability for what you did with Arby?
Shayla: I definitely do take accountability for me and Arby. I mean, I hurt—
Anthony: But do you feel bad about it?
Shayla: I do feel bad for Arby.
I mean, I made him believe that this baby was his and it wasn’t.
Only to protect the lies, I lied more.
And just kind of got caught up in this whole situation.
So yeah, I feel bad.
Because it’s a lot deeper than, you know, just breaking up or being unfaithful.
It’s like—he believed that Kai was his son.
So I know that might be like a deeper hurt.
I just don't know what to do about it though, Anthony.
Anthony: Babe, I’m not trying to bring up the past. I’m just using these as examples.
So how am I to be held accountable?
Shayla: I apologized to Arby and told him that I was wrong. That I kind of just got caught up.
I did not make the best decisions. And I hurt him.
And the decisions that we made—it’s all about accountability.
At least fessing up to your wrongdoings.
Anthony: Like your man being right about the diapers.
Shayla: You good?
Anthony: Now I don't know how I went from diapers, Amber, to Arby.
Hey, I’m everywhere.
Accountability.
Shayla: You just want to be right.
Anthony: I don't just want to be right.
Because I am right.
