Shayla: For the remote, here it is.
Shayla: I know, I was wondering why the TV kept flipping. Chill, it’s him. Of all the things I buy him, he loves this remote the most.
Shayla: Ugh!
Shayla: Okay, big boy. Okay, man. He is busy.
Anthony: Yeah.
Shayla: Actually, can you watch him for me this afternoon? I have a bunch of errands to run, and he’s so busy right now, I don't think he'll even sit still with me.
Anthony: I’d love to, babe, but I have some stuff I need to do.
Shayla: Okay, but you can't watch him for just a couple of hours? These errands are really important. I don’t get a lot of time to handle things for myself.
Anthony: I actually have to leave in about 30 to 45 minutes.
Shayla: Anthony, why do you always act like work and everything else is more important? What if I need you sometimes? I can't just keep dropping the baby off at my mom’s house every day.
Anthony: Work is important.
Shayla: Yeah, work is important, but so is your son.
Anthony: Okay.
Shayla: I have meetings I can't reschedule. I already pushed them back a couple of times.
Shayla: And you can’t just call or do it from home?
Anthony: No, I can't.
Shayla: Anthony, it just feels like every time I ask you to watch your son, there’s always something more important to you.

Anthony: More important? Like providing for you and my son?
Shayla: No, it’s not just about providing. You make it seem like you’re the only one with important things to do. I understand I stay home with the baby, but the things I need to do matter too.
Anthony: I’m the only person bringing money into this house.
Shayla: Oh my God.
Anthony: So you can continue having everything you have, and Kai can have what he needs.
Shayla: And I appreciate you for that, baby. But having a family isn’t just about providing. It’s about being there too, spending time with your kids.
Anthony: I’m only one person.
Shayla: Okay, but why are you raising your voice at me?
Anthony: Because I just told you — I have somewhere to be.
Anthony: Alright?
Shayla: So you can't just watch him for a couple of hours?
Anthony: I can’t.
Shayla: Okay. Well, I guess everything I have to do just isn’t important.
Anthony: I’m not saying that.
Shayla: I’ll just put my life on hold since yours matters more.
Anthony: Let’s not forget — you’re the one who wanted Kai in the first place.
Shayla: Anthony, do me a favor: never in your life say that in front of my son.
Anthony: What are you trying to say? You don’t want your son?
Shayla: He’s here now. Why would you even bring that up?
Anthony: I’m saying we’re here because you wanted him.
Shayla: Okay, well, he’s here. That has nothing to do with me asking you to watch him.
Anthony: So what are you trying to say? You wanted him.
Shayla: You want him too, don’t you?
Anthony: I’m not saying I don’t.
Shayla: Okay, then don’t ever say anything like that again. Ever.
Anthony: Are you... Okay, wherever you’re going, is it providing for this family?

Anthony: Is it?
Anthony: Because the meetings I’m going to — they’ll let me bring in $10,000. So you can go shopping, get your hair done, and so Kai can possibly go to the best schools. That’s what I’m doing.
Anthony: So unless you’re doing something that’s directly helping this household financially, I don’t feel like you have the right to come at me like this.
Shayla: Okay, but you're not offering any other solutions. I have important things I need to do too. Just because they aren’t about money doesn’t make them not important.
Anthony: Life’s not fair.

Shayla: Wow.
Shayla: You know what, Anthony? Forget it. I don’t need you. Since Kai is the son that I wanted, I’ll just take him with me.
Anthony: Here you go, spinning my words.
Shayla: Spinning your words? That’s exactly what you think. Whatever. Alright.
