Sara: Have your attorney draw up the paperwork, and I’ll sign it.
DC: So you're not even going to fight for it, huh?
Sara: I don't know what there is to fight for. You made your decision. You want a divorce—so that’s fine.
DC: You don’t know what it is to fight for? You're not going to fight for this?
Sara: I'm tired of fighting. Honestly, I don't know what to do anymore. If you want to bow out of this marriage and be a coward, I’m not going to chase after you. You made your decision.
DC: It’s crazy. After everything we’ve been through, and you still don’t want to fight.
Sara: Well, you’re the one who made the mistake. You know I wanted that baby. I feel like we’ve reached the peak of what we can do.
DC: You know why we didn’t have a baby? Because you were running back and forth to your baby mama for months. She didn’t even know if you wanted to get married. She's the reason we were never on the same page.
Sara: You allowed that. It’s not her—it’s you. You always bring Erica back into this, don’t you? This is about me and you starting a family. I already have a daughter. You know I wanted a son. But none of that’s possible now. Not with you.
DC: Maybe God brought Naya into our lives as a blessing. We don’t always get to paint things the way we want. Things aren’t perfect—you’re not perfect, I’m not perfect. So what exactly do you want from me, Sara?
Sara: If anything, it’s your blessing. Not mine. So that’s that. Have your attorney draft the paperwork. I’ll sign it. Let’s just be done with this. I’ve done more than enough—helping you heal, getting you back on your feet, investing in your business.
You want to go back to the streets? Then go. Go back to your baby mama. Oh wait—you can’t. She’s engaged now. She’s with Lawrence. Maybe you can go back to a strip club, find another girl, and let her set you up again so you can almost not be here because of your own decisions.
I’m not playing the victim. This is what you want. You want me to chase after you? DC, I’m done chasing. I’m trying to raise a child here.
She wants her little sister to come live with us too. I don’t know what to do. I’m not perfect, and it’s like you expect me to be. I literally don’t know what else to do.
I know I’m a good mother, and I’m sorry I can’t give you what you want right now.
DC: Will you ever be able to? That’s the problem.
