📞Brooke's Secret Call To Sharra & Tell Her Mom Everything 😱
Chapter 1: The Late-Night Tears
The clock read 11:43 PM.
The rain outside tapped softly against the window as Brooke sat on her bed, hugging her knees, her eyes red from crying.
Her phone glowed on the nightstand, Sharra’s contact staring back at her. For the first time in weeks, she wanted to talk to someone who would listen — someone who wouldn’t yell, or blame, or ignore her.
Bethany had been on another angry streak that night. The argument had started over something small — Brooke’s school trip — but it quickly turned into shouting, accusations, and slammed doors.
And now Brooke couldn’t take it anymore.
With trembling hands, she pressed Call.
Chapter 2: “Mom, I Can’t Do This Anymore”
“Brooke?” Sharra’s tired voice came through the line. “Honey, what’s wrong? It’s so late.”
Brooke sniffled, her voice breaking. “Mom… I can’t stay here anymore. I can’t do this with her.”
There was silence on the other end. Then Sharra sat up in bed, instantly alert.
“What happened? Did she yell again?”
Brooke hesitated, her breath shaky. “It’s worse this time. She… she went through my phone, and when she saw your messages, she said I’m not allowed to talk to you again. She called you—” Brooke stopped, unable to finish.
Sharra closed her eyes, pain flashing across her face. “She called me what, Brooke?”
Brooke whispered, “She said you’re trying to steal me away… but you’re my mom too. Aren’t you?”
Sharra felt her heart twist. “Yes, sweetheart. Of course I am.”
The sound of her daughter’s quiet sobbing on the phone broke her completely.
Chapter 3: The Secret She Couldn’t Hold Anymore
Brooke continued, her words spilling out between tears.
“She told me I ruined her life… that I should’ve stayed with you. She said Dad only cares about you and that’s why she’s miserable. I don’t know what to believe anymore!”
Sharra’s hand trembled as she gripped the phone tighter.
“Listen to me, Brooke. None of that is your fault. Do you hear me? None of it. You didn’t ruin anything.”
Then Brooke said something that made Sharra’s blood run cold.
“She told me the lawsuit was because of me — that if it wasn’t for me, Dad wouldn’t have left her.”
Sharra’s breath caught. She stood up, pacing the room. “She said that?”
“Yes,” Brooke whispered. “And… she threw a photo of you and Dad in the trash. I took it back when she wasn’t looking.”
Tears welled in Sharra’s eyes. “Oh, baby… you should never have to hear those things.”
That was the moment Sharra made her decision.
Chapter 4: The Drive
Within fifteen minutes, Sharra was out of bed, grabbing her keys and coat.
She didn’t care that it was nearly midnight.
She didn’t care about the rain or the distance.
All she could think about was Brooke — alone, scared, and crying in a house filled with tension.
As she drove through the stormy streets, her phone buzzed again.
Brooke had texted:
“Please come get me. I just want to leave.”
Sharra pressed harder on the gas pedal.
Chapter 5: The Arrival
When she pulled up outside Bethany’s house, the lights were still on.
She could hear shouting from inside — Bethany’s voice, sharp and angry, and Brooke’s crying.
Sharra rang the bell once.
No answer.
She rang again — longer, louder.
Bethany finally opened the door, her face red with fury.
“What are you doing here?” Bethany snapped. “It’s midnight!”
Sharra’s tone was calm but firm. “I’m here for Brooke.”
Bethany laughed bitterly. “Of course you are. You’ve been waiting for this moment, haven’t you? To take her away from me!”
Sharra didn’t flinch. “I’m not taking her — I’m protecting her.”
Chapter 6: The Explosion
Bethany stepped closer, her voice low and trembling with rage.
“Don’t act like you’re some savior. You left Larry. You left Brooke. And now you want to play mother of the year?”
Sharra’s voice cracked, but she held her ground. “You’re hurting her, Bethany. She called me crying tonight. She said she’s scared to be here. That’s not okay.”
Just then, Brooke appeared at the top of the stairs, clutching her backpack.
“Mom, please,” she said softly. “I just want to stay with her for a while.”
Bethany’s eyes widened. “You called her?”
Brooke nodded, tears falling down her cheeks. “Yes. I told her everything.”
Bethany froze — her face shifting from anger to shock.
Chapter 7: The Unthinkable Decision
For a long moment, nobody spoke. The rain outside echoed through the silence.
Finally, Sharra reached out her hand toward Brooke. “Come on, sweetheart.”
Bethany stared at them both, her jaw trembling.
“You’re really leaving me?” she whispered.
Brooke hesitated. “I’m not leaving forever. I just need to breathe.”
Those words hit harder than any slap could.
Bethany’s knees gave way, and she sank to the floor, sobbing.
Sharra helped Brooke down the stairs and out into the rain.
Chapter 8: The Ride
As they drove away, Brooke stared out the window, watching the raindrops race down the glass.
“Mom,” she said quietly. “I told her everything. About the calls, about how I miss you, about how she makes me feel…”
Sharra squeezed her hand. “You did the right thing, baby.”
Brooke turned to look at her. “Do you think she’ll ever forgive me?”
Sharra sighed. “Maybe not today. But one day, she’ll understand why you needed to tell the truth.”
Chapter 9: The Morning After
By sunrise, Bethany’s house was silent.
She sat alone at the kitchen table, staring at Brooke’s empty chair.
The phone buzzed — a message from Larry.
“I heard what happened last night. Maybe this is the wake-up call you needed. You’ve got to stop letting your anger push everyone away.”
Bethany stared at the screen for a long time before replying.
“I just lost my daughter, Larry. What else do I have left to lose?”
Chapter 10: The Twist Ending
Three days later, Sharra received an envelope in the mail.
Inside was a single sheet of paper — no signature, no note.
Just one typed sentence:
“Brooke wasn’t supposed to tell you. There’s more you don’t know about Bethany’s plan.”
Sharra froze, staring at the message.
“Bethany’s plan?” she whispered.
She looked over at Brooke, laughing softly with Larry in the garden, unaware of what was coming next.
Whatever Bethany was planning… it wasn’t over.
💬 “Sometimes, the truth doesn’t set you free — it just changes who you trust.” 😱
