THE LOCKED ROOM IN CHICAGO”
Bethany’s fear is spiraling.
Brooke becomes her hostage.
And Chicago becomes the battleground for a love war she refuses to lose.
INT. HOTEL SUITE – NIGHT
Bethany paces back and forth, her steps sharp, energy volatile.
Her heartbeat pounds louder than the city outside.
Her eyes blaze with fear disguised as fury.
Brooke steps inside, confused by the tension.
BROOKE
What’s going on?
Why are you pacing like that?
Bethany whirls around, eyes fierce.
BETHANY
Brooke… we’re going to Chicago.
You’re coming with me.
No arguments.
Brooke stiffens, shocked.
BROOKE
Wait—what?
No. I’m not going anywhere.
I have plans.
Bethany strides toward her, voice lowering into something dangerous.
BETHANY
Brooke… you are coming with me.
I can’t let Larry and Sharra be alone.
Not after everything.
Brooke folds her arms, refusing to budge.
BROOKE
I’m not going.
You can’t force me.
Bethany’s jaw tightens—decision snapping inside her.
INT. HOTEL SUITE – BEDROOM DOORWAY – MOMENTS LATER
With sudden force, Bethany grabs Brooke’s arm and drags her toward the room.
Brooke gasps, stunned.
BROOKE
Bethany!
Let go!
You’re insane!
Bethany slams the door shut.
A loud CLICK echoes—the lock sliding in place.
BETHANY
I’m doing this for your good…
and mine.
I won’t let them fall back into each other’s arms.
Brooke beats on the door in disbelief.
BROOKE
You can’t lock me in here!
I’m not a child!
Bethany leans against the door, breathing hard—fear pushing every word.
BETHANY
I know Larry and Sharra.
I know what happens when they’re alone.
I’m not letting those feelings come back.
Brooke groans behind the door.
BROOKE
Bethany…
you sound like a villain in a romance movie.
Bethany’s voice cracks, too soft for her usual fire.
BETHANY
You don’t understand…
I can’t lose him again.
Brooke’s tone finally softens, empathy slipping in.
BROOKE
Locking me up won’t fix anything.
You’re only hurting both of us.
Bethany’s pacing slows.
Her defenses tremble.
BETHANY
I’m scared, Brooke.
Larry means everything to me.
Sharra… she’s strong. She’s tempting. She’s… dangerous.
Brooke exhales, sitting on the bed, calmer now.
BROOKE
Trust Larry.
Trust yourself.
Not… locks.
Bethany stops moving.
Brooke’s words sink deeper than she expected.
INT. HOTEL SUITE – DOORWAY – MOMENTS LATER
With a shaky hand, Bethany unlocks the door.
The soft CLICK feels like a surrender.
BETHANY
You’re free.
But in Chicago…
keep your eyes open.
Brooke steps out, shaking her head with a weak, amused sigh.
BROOKE
Bethany… you’re intense.
But fine.
I’ll watch.
Bethany gives a small, anxious smile.
BETHANY
No promises I won’t turn it into a spy mission.
Brooke rolls her eyes as she walks away.
INT. HOTEL SUITE – WINDOW VIEW – CONTINUOUS
Bethany stands alone, staring out at the glowing Chicago skyline.
Her reflection trembles in the glass.
BETHANY
(whispering to herself)
I won’t let them fall back into each other’s arms…
not tonight…
not ever.
