After Bethany, Brooke is being blamed. What will happen next?

ON SIGHT

A Skitlanta Story

                                       Full Skit Here

1. THE NIGHT BEFORE THE CONCERT

The house was quiet in that loud, uncomfortable way—
the kind where everyone hears everything but pretends they don’t.

Brooke sat on the edge of the bed, phone glowing against the dark walls.
Destiny lay back, staring at the ceiling.

Destiny:
“Say it again. Slowly.”

Brooke:
“She’s going.”

Silence.

Then—

Destiny:
“…Bethany?”

Brooke nodded.

Brooke:
“She said she’s concerned. Which means she’s already packed a purse and a speech.”

Destiny let out a breathless laugh.

Destiny:
“Brooke… this is about to be embarrassing on a spiritual level.”

From the hallway—
a soft sound.

A floorboard.

Neither of them moved.

Bethany was listening.

2. BETHANY’S DECISION

In the bathroom mirror, Bethany adjusted her jacket.
Her face was calm—but her eyes weren’t.

Bethany (to herself):
“I’m not letting history repeat itself.”

She didn’t knock.
Didn’t ask.

She simply announced it.

Bethany:
“I’m coming to the concert.”

Brooke’s shoulders dropped.

Brooke:
“I’m almost eighteen.”

Bethany met her gaze.

Bethany:
“And you’re still my responsibility.”

Destiny looked between them.

Destiny:
“This is gonna go left.”

Bethany didn’t respond.

She already knew.

3. OUTSIDE THE ARENA

The night pulsed.
Bass from inside the venue rattled the pavement.
Crowds moved like waves.

Brooke spotted them first.

Hope and Faith.

Matching outfits.
Matching looks.

Hope (smiling):
“Told you it was on sight.”

Brooke froze.

Bethany stepped forward.

The air shifted.

Bethany (calm, clear):
“Who are you speaking to?”

Faith laughed.

Faith:
“You must be the babysitter.”

Destiny’s jaw tightened.

Destiny:
“Say less.”

But Bethany raised a hand.

Not angry.

Controlled.

Bethany:
“I’m not here to argue. I’m here to observe.”

Hope leaned closer.

Hope:
“You should observe her. She likes starting stuff then hiding.”

Brooke’s face flushed.

Brooke:
“That’s a lie.”

Faith shrugged.

Faith:
“Funny how she always ends up in the middle.”

Bethany turned slowly toward Brooke.

For a second, Brooke thought—
this is it.

Instead, Bethany said quietly:

Bethany:
“Do you have proof?”

Hope hesitated.

Just for a second.

Destiny noticed.

4. THE RECEIPT

Destiny unlocked her phone.

Her voice was steady.

Destiny:
“You wanna talk about proof?”

She pressed play.

A voice memo filled the space.

Hope (recording):
“Just say she jumped me. Everybody already don’t like her.”

Faith’s voice followed.

Faith (recording):
“Facts. She always the problem anyway.”

Silence crashed down.

Hope’s smile vanished.

Hope:
“That’s taken out of context.”

Bethany didn’t raise her voice.

Didn’t argue.

She simply turned to security.

Bethany:
“I need this documented. No scene. Just record that a threat was made.”

Faith stepped back.

Faith:
“Why you doing all this?”

Bethany looked at Brooke.

Then back at them.

Bethany:
“Because blaming someone repeatedly doesn’t make it true.”

5. THE UNEXPECTED TURN

Security nodded.
Phones came out.
Names were noted.

No yelling.
No fighting.

Just accountability.

Brooke stood there, stunned.

Brooke:
“You’re… not making me leave?”

Bethany shook her head.

Bethany:
“No. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

That hit harder than any punishment ever could.

Bethany:
“Go. Enjoy the concert.”

Destiny blinked.

Destiny:
“…Wait. For real?”

Bethany stepped back.

Bethany:
“Some lessons don’t require control. They require clarity.”

Brooke hesitated—then walked toward the entrance.

She turned once more.

Bethany was already on the phone.

Serious.

Focused.

6. CLIFFHANGER

Inside, the lights dropped.
The crowd roared.

Outside, Bethany’s phone vibrated.

A text message.

UNKNOWN CONTACT:
School administration meeting confirmed. All parents required.

Bethany looked back at the arena doors.

Then at Hope and Faith.

Bethany (quietly):
“This isn’t over.”

The music inside surged louder.

The story outside had just begun.

WHY THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING

• Brooke was blamed because she was easy to target
• The truth didn’t come out through shouting—it came through receipts
• Bethany didn’t control the situation—she redirected it
• The concert happened
• The consequences are coming later
