The Warning
Larry looked at Bethany, his eyes tired but sharp, a mixture of exhaustion and controlled anger.
LARRY: Bethany… this has gone far enough.
Bethany froze, shocked, her voice shaky and uncertain.
BETHANY: What… what do you mean?
Larry stepped closer, firm and unwavering.
LARRY: I’m not taking you to Montana. Go… do whatever you want… I don’t care. But I’m not letting you ruin this trip.
Bethany’s face paled, a mix of shock and rising anger.
BETHANY: You… you’re not taking me with you?
The Reality
LARRY: You’ve done everything… but I forgave you. I tolerated your behavior. I kept quiet when I could’ve snapped… but that ends now.
Bethany took a step back, uncertain, trying to reason.
BETHANY: Larry… please… it’s just Montana.
LARRY: No, Bethany. I’m being honest. I tolerated your limits being crossed. I don’t want Lynette’s Montana trip ruined because of you.
Bethany’s expression twisted—a cocktail of shock, disbelief, and anger.
BETHANY: You… how can you say that to me?
LARRY: I’m just telling reality, Bethany. You’ll face consequences for your actions. I forgave, I tolerated… but enough is enough. Your choices are yours now.
Consequence and Control
Bethany froze mid-step, panic and anger warring in her eyes.
BETHANY: Larry… you’re really…?
LARRY: Yes. And now you need to understand that your actions have consequences. I warned you. I forgave you… but this stops here. Montana is off-limits for you.
A bitter, nervous laugh escaped Bethany, defiance still flickering.
BETHANY: You can’t… you can’t control me!
LARRY: I’m not controlling you, Bethany. I’m just telling you what will happen if you keep crossing lines. Do what you want… but not with me on this trip.
The Emotional Peak
Tears welled in Bethany’s eyes, anger simmering beneath the surface.
BETHANY: You’re… just leaving me?
LARRY: Not leaving… just making sure reality hits. You face your own choices now.
Bethany grabbed her bag, stepping toward the door, pausing mid-step, caught between defiance and uncertainty.
BETHANY: You’re… really talking to me like this?
Larry stayed in place, eyes locked on her. Silent. Strict. Ready for anything she might do.
The Suspense
The room felt thick with tension, every second stretching longer. The audience is left holding their breath—what will Bethany do? Will Larry’s stand hold? Will Montana survive intact or descend into chaos?
Bethany lingered, bag in hand, unsure, weighing her next move. Larry’s eyes followed, unwavering. The storm hadn’t passed—just paused, waiting for its next spark.
