Building Tension
Larry leaned against the wall, rubbing his temples, while Brooke quietly unpacked her bag, giving him supportive glances. Bethany stood near the window, arms crossed, her face a storm of frustration.
BETHANY: "Larry… I’m done,"
LARRY: "Done? Done with what?"
BETHANY: "I mean… we’re not going back to that house. No one’s going there. Not now. Not ever."
Confrontation
BETHANY: "From now on, wherever my respect is, that’s where I go — and you? You’re not going anywhere near it."
LARRY: "Bethany… I… what are you saying?"
BROOKE (whispering): "Larry… she’s serious. You know she’s not gonna back down once she decides."
The Breaking Point
BETHANY: "Larry, you’ve been too soft. Too nice. Too forgiving. And now? Now I’m done letting anyone disrespect me — including you."
LARRY: "Bethany… hold on. Let’s think about this. We’re at a hotel. We can sort this out calmly."
Ultimatum
BETHANY: "No! There’s nothing to think about. I’ve had it. From this point on, I decide where I’m going, what I do, who I let near me. And right now? That house… it’s out. Done. Over. I’m not stepping foot there — and you’re not making me."
BROOKE (whispering): "Larry… you know she’s not bluffing."
The Choice
LARRY: "Bethany… wait. We can figure something out—maybe a compromise, a plan…"
BETHANY: "No compromises. No plans. No arguments. Larry… for once, follow me. Or stay. I don’t care. But I’m not stepping into that house. Not today. Not ever. My respect, my rules."
The Breaking Point (cont.)
BROOKE: "Larry… I think she’s set. And honestly… you know it. Let her take control for a moment. She needs to feel it. You’ll figure your next move, but not today."
LARRY: "Bethany… wait. We can figure something out—maybe a compromise, a plan…"
The room went silent except for the faint hum of the air conditioner. Larry’s hands shook slightly. Brooke gave him a look that said, just go with it.
