THE CONFRONTATION
INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY. Sunlight slices through half-closed blinds, shadows stretching across the wooden floor. The clock ticks loudly.
Bethany walks toward the door, slow and deliberate. Kailee watches, her heart pounding.
KAILEE:
(tearing up) π’
Bethany… why did you ruin my baby moment?
Bethany doesn’t turn around. Her jaw tightens. Her grip on her bag hardens.
BETHANY:
π‘
Only silence answers. Kailee steps forward.
KAILEE:
Please… don’t go. π
BETHANY:
Kailee… just leave me. π
KAILEE:
I’m not going to leave you. π€
Not like this.
THE FALL
Bethany freezes — then reacts.
BETHANY:
Move, Kailee! π‘
The push is quick, almost reflexive. Kailee’s foot catches the rug.
She falls hard. A sharp crack echoes as she hits the floor, breath knocked from her chest.
KAILEE:
(crying) π
It… it hurts… Bethany… please…
Bethany’s anger shatters into shock.
BETHANY:
π±
Kailee… I didn’t mean—
REGRET
Kailee sobs softly, pain and betrayal tangled together. Bethany takes a hesitant step forward — then stops.
KAILEE:
(through tears) π’
Why… did you do it?
BETHANY:
π
I… I didn’t mean to…
The room tightens around them. Guilt hangs heavy in the air.
Kailee slowly pushes herself up, wincing. She looks at Bethany — not angry, just hurt.
KAILEE:
Please… don’t leave like this. π’
UNFINISHED
Bethany hesitates, torn between staying and running.
Kailee reaches out, a silent plea.
Time seems to pause — every breath, every heartbeat suspended.
Pain, anger, guilt, and love collide in a single moment — one that will never be undone.
To be continued…
