Bethany & Jesse Scene
Sunlight pours through the windows, but Bethany’s heart races. Jesse is coming, and nothing will ever be the same. ⏳

INT. BETHANY’S LIVING ROOM – DAY

Sunlight streams through the windows, falling across a plush sofa where Bethany sits alone, clutching a pillow tightly. Her eyes are red from crying. The faint ticking of a wall clock fills the silence.

BETHANY: (breathes slowly) I… I need to steady myself…

INT. OUTSIDE BETHANY’S HOUSE – DAY

Jesse’s car screeches to a halt. He jumps out immediately — worry carved into his face — moving fast toward the front door.

JESSE: (breathless, anxious) Bethany… what happened?

INT. BETHANY’S LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

Bethany opens the door trembling, steps aside to let him in. Tears pool in her eyes.

BETHANY: (voice breaking) Jesse… it was… it was bad.

She collapses onto the sofa, hugging the pillow tightly. Jesse kneels, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

JESSE: (soft, worried) Bethany… it’s okay. You’re safe now. Just breathe.

BETHANY: (sobbing) I… I didn’t mean for it to get this bad… I just… I couldn’t hold back.

Jesse pulls the pillow from her arms and wraps her in a protective embrace. She buries her face into his chest, trembling.

JESSE: (soothing) Shh… it’s okay. I’m here. You’re not alone.

BETHANY: (through tears) I fought with Lynette, Jesse… and… I got hurt.

JESSE: (angry, soft) Why didn’t you call me before it got this far?

BETHANY: (whimpering) I didn’t want to worry you… I thought I could handle it…

JESSE: (serious) Bethany… you don’t have to handle anything alone. Not ever.

INT. BETHANY’S LIVING ROOM – NIGHT

Her shoulders slowly relax as Jesse’s words sink in. The room is filled with the warmth of the late afternoon light.

BETHANY: (quiet) I’m so scared, Jesse…

JESSE: (steady) I know. But you’re safe now. I won’t let anything happen to you.

BETHANY: (soft, trembling) I don’t know what I’d do without you…

JESSE: (whispering) You’ll never have to find out. I’m not going anywhere.

ENDING / FADE OUT

The camera pulls back slowly. Bethany rests against Jesse — exhausted, vulnerable, but comforted. Sunlight fills the room, giving a gentle, hopeful glow.

BETHANY: (sniffles, faint smile) Thank you… Jesse… for coming so fast…

JESSE: (soft smile) I’d always come for you, Bethany. Always.

FADE OUT… TO BE CONTINUED…
