Bethany argues about Miami in the office, making Larry angry, so he takes Brooke and Destiny instead.

INT. LARRY’S OFFICE – AFTERNOON

Sunlight pours through the tall glass windows. Travel folders labeled “MIAMI” sit neatly on the polished desk.

BETHANY

I don’t understand why this is even a discussion, Larry. I’m going to Miami.

LARRY

(controlled)
It’s not about what you want. It’s about what’s best for everyone.

Bethany crosses her arms tightly, frustration burning in her eyes.

BETHANY

Best for everyone? Or best for you?

A tense silence fills the office.

LARRY

This trip is business. Investors. Press. It’s serious.

BETHANY

So you think I can’t handle it?

She slams a folder onto the desk. Papers scatter.

LARRY

I’m trying to avoid drama.

BETHANY

Drama? You call me drama?

THE ARGUMENT ESCALATES

Employees outside pretend not to listen as voices rise.

LARRY

Miami is already complicated enough.

BETHANY

Then maybe you shouldn’t go!

Larry’s patience finally snaps.

LARRY

Enough!

The word echoes through the office.

LARRY

You want to go? Not with this attitude.

BETHANY

Oh, so I need permission now?

LARRY

You need self-control.

Bethany’s eyes glisten, but she refuses to cry.

BETHANY

Take Brooke. Take Destiny. They’re easier, right?

Larry says nothing. His silence confirms it.

BETHANY WALKS OUT

BETHANY

Go to Miami. Take whoever you want.

She grabs her purse and storms toward the door.

LARRY

This is your choice.

BETHANY

No. It’s yours.

The door slams shut. Silence fills the room.

LARRY MAKES A DECISION

Larry stares at the scattered papers. His phone vibrates.

LARRY

Brooke. Are you busy?

INT. BROOKE’S APARTMENT – EVENING

BROOKE

No… is everything okay?

LARRY

How would you feel about coming to Miami?

BROOKE

Miami? I’d love to… if you’re sure.

LARRY

I’m sure.

INT. DESTINY’S CAR – EVENING

DESTINY

I heard yelling. Everything good?

LARRY

How fast can you pack?

DESTINY

Where am I going?

LARRY

Miami. Flight leaves tomorrow morning.

DESTINY

Say less.

FINAL MOMENT

Three boarding passes sit on the desk — Larry, Brooke, Destiny.

Outside the office, Bethany watches silently.

BETHANY

(whispers)
Miami isn’t over yet.

She walks away with determination in her eyes.

FADE OUT.
