Morning Decision
The morning sunlight enters the quiet house. Larry stands in the kitchen holding a college brochure while Brooke scrolls through photos of the campus.
LARRY: Brooke… this the college you really wanna go to?
BROOKE: Yeah Dad. I checked everything. The programs… the campus… it just feels right.
Sharra leans against the doorway watching the conversation.
SHARRA: If she likes it, you should go see it in person.
Larry sighs slowly.
LARRY: I just don’t want drama.
SHARRA: You mean Bethany.
Larry stays silent.
LARRY: Let’s just go today… before things get complicated.
Brooke’s eyes light up with excitement.
BROOKE: Today?!
LARRY: Yep. Grab your stuff.
The College Visit
The campus is beautiful. Students walk across green lawns while tall buildings stretch toward the sky.
Brooke looks around with amazement.
BROOKE: Wow… this place is amazing.
LARRY: I can actually see you here.
SHARRA: She’s growing up fast, Larry.
Larry watches Brooke smiling and exploring the campus.
For a moment… everything feels peaceful.
The Admission Office
Inside the admissions office, a counselor reviews Brooke’s application.
COUNSELOR: Brooke has a very strong application.
BROOKE: Really?
COUNSELOR: Absolutely.
Larry proudly signs paperwork while Brooke smiles.
Then suddenly… Larry’s phone vibrates.
He checks the screen.
BETHANY CALLING.
The Phone Call
LARRY: Hey.
BETHANY: Where are you?!
Larry immediately knows something is wrong.
LARRY: I’m out handling something.
BETHANY: Don’t lie to me Larry. Somebody told me you're at a college with Sharra and Brooke.
The room becomes silent.
BETHANY: You really thought you could do this without telling me?
LARRY: It’s just a visit Bethany.
BETHANY: Oh really? Don’t worry… I’m coming there right now.
The call ends.
Larry slowly lowers the phone.
The Tension Builds
Outside the campus entrance, the sun begins to set.
Brooke looks nervous.
BROOKE: Dad… is Mom really coming?
LARRY: Yeah… she’s coming.
SHARRA: This is about to turn into a whole movie scene.
Suddenly a car pulls into the parking lot quickly.
The door slams open.
Bethany steps out.
The Confrontation
Bethany walks toward them with anger written all over her face.
BETHANY: So this is what we’re doing now?
BETHANY: Sneaking around making college decisions without me?
LARRY: Nobody was sneaking.
BETHANY: Then why is SHE here and not me?
Bethany points at Sharra.
SHARRA: Don’t drag me into this.
BETHANY: Oh you’re already in it.
Brooke looks overwhelmed as the tension rises.
LARRY: Enough. This visit was about Brooke.
Bethany turns toward Brooke.
BETHANY: You really like this college?
BROOKE: Yeah… I do.
Bethany pauses.
Everyone waits to see what she will say next.
But the real question is… will Bethany support Brooke’s dream, or will this secret visit destroy the family even more?
