Late evening. Larry sits alone in his office, staring at his phone before finally pressing call.
LARRY: Hey… Lynette. I hope I’m not calling at a bad time.
LYNETTE: Larry? No… I’m just surprised. What’s going on?
THE INVITATION
Larry takes a deep breath, choosing his words carefully.
LARRY: Destiny’s birthday is coming up… and we’re celebrating in Miami.
LYNETTE: Miami? That’s big.
LARRY: I want you to come.
SILENCE BETWEEN WORDS
There’s a long pause on the line. Old memories seem to resurface quietly.
LYNETTE: You’re inviting me… to Miami?
LARRY: It’s for Destiny. She deserves everyone who cares about her there.
QUESTIONS AND DOUBTS
LYNETTE: And what exactly are you expecting from me?
LARRY: Nothing. No pressure. Just celebrate her birthday.
His tone is sincere, but the history between them lingers in the air.
THE DECISION
Lynette walks to the window, imagining Miami’s beaches and birthday candles glowing at sunset.
LYNETTE: When’s the flight?
LARRY: Saturday morning.
A small smile forms on Larry’s face as hope replaces tension.

LYNETTE: Alright… book it. I’ll come.
LARRY: You won’t regret it.
After the call ends, Larry leans back in his chair, knowing this trip could change everything.
